This was made February ‘20, on 8x10 black canvas using magenta and Indian yellow in the sky. I like making my own colors for the mountains and trying to dig in a shore line when possible. I wanted a quick, simple, and colorful painting.
I was looking at it and it gave me the feel of being in the desert before the dust storm.
The clouds create the tension that something is about to happen.
